If you are having trouble with dialup on a pc. Use an external modem to test the system. If it does work using there or your dialup info that shows that it was the modem. If it does not work look to the TCP/IP & clients for MS networks as a settings issue. This will solve 90%+ of your dialup diagnosis headscratchers.
